The text is gentle, loving and with some nice twists and dialogue, the goal of child-centered. The stories are repetitive in the end, but that fact makes them more attractive and reassuring for the audience. Jeram pencil and watercolor illustrations highlighted. Little chick is so perfect, childish, lying on her back holding her toes as she has to wait, leaning on the old aunt, if things get too heavy, or hanging their heads discouraged if he does not fly his kite. Reader empathy just by looking. Old aunt is still significantly large and comforting bird, and the sides are nicely varied, mix up sequences with simple tables and double-page.
